Beyond Forgiveness
Where light and darkness interweave, where brutal death metal and angelic classical voices coexist on the same plane, and a storyland of myth and legend transport you away into a realm of symphonic beautality, you will encounter the band Beyond Forgiveness. The U.S. based band emerged in 2014 as a studio project formed by death metal guitarists Greg Witwer and Richard Marcus. Collaborating with classical vocalist and orchestrator, Talia Hoit, drummer Sean Rogers, and bassist Jim Lasselle, Beyond Forgiveness combines contrasting musical styles into an epic adventure of symphonic metal.
In 2016, the band released their first EP, “The Ferryman’s Shore”. The release was embraced by the underground symphonic metal scene with rave reviews, and the band’s signature sound was dubbed “beautality”. The band followed with a couple tours in Europe and two additional full length albums, each becoming more symphonically charged. With lyrics ranging from emotional turmoil to Tolkien-eque fantasy, the music explores the paradoxes of a wide range of human experience and musical style. Incorporating extreme metal elements as well as classical composition, the band continues to push boundaries to create art as a metaphor of life.

8/10 - Metal Nalata
"The instramental is impeccable and the symphonics are extremely tasteful, but it is the vocals of Talia Holt that shine on the ten tracks of 'Live to Tell the Story' "
-Marcelo Lopes Vieira
8.5/10 - Ever Metal
"In a world where we hear plenty of soulless groups release an album just to have one, it is very impressive to hear an album like 'Live To Tell The Story' "
- Victor Augusto
8/10 - Noizze
Nevertheless, the whole album is a compelling listen with each song having a memorable hooky vocal line. If dramatic symphonic music is your cup of tea then don’t miss this one.
-Sasha Bannister
8/10 - Dead Rhetoric
Beyond Forgiveness have established some of their own take on the symphonic/gothic metal landscape by adding in their doom/death influences, veering into epic/power aspects when necessary, and as such Live to Tell the Story keeps your attention throughout it’s 54-minute running time.
-Matt Coe
88/100 - Lords of Metal
"...I would definitely advise everybody to purchase this gem...Beyond Forgiveness, remember the name!"
-Sjak

9.5/10 - Black Phoenix Rising
